Information Commissioner’s Office Orkney visit, 27th and 28th March 2018

Save the date....

One of the most pressing issues for businesses in the coming weeks and months needs to be preparing for the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on May 25th 2018, when the data protection laws change (and they will still apply after Brexit).

So we're delighted to welcome the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to Orkney on Tuesday 27 March when they will be delivering practical sessions on what organisations must do to comply.   The ICO is the office that deals with data protection, so are truly the experts!

For your organisation or start up, the new rules will mean a new set of rules to follow about:
● The data you collect;
● The ways you use the data;
● The ways you store the data; and
● The ways you share the data.

Watch this space in the coming weeks for details of sessions.

If you need information in the meantime, check our our online guide (http://bit.ly/2E3ms8g) or guidance on ICO's website (http://bit.ly/2FJNXAe).
