Scottish Mediation - Managing Relationships in the Third Sector Workshop 1.30 to 4.30pm, Thursday 12th August 2019, Board Room, Voluntary Action Orkney – Open Invitation

Scottish Mediation have developed a three hour workshop around conflict management and are visiting Orkney to provide training specifically for Third Sector Organisations. The workshop will provide skills and techniques used in mediation to effectively manage conflict situations

This workshop looks at conflict and how it escalates and demonstrates how skills and techniques used in mediation can help you to effectively manage working relationships. The sessions consider how best to manage and resolve conflict with a view to avoiding costly and time-consuming disputes.

At the end of the workshop participants should –

•           Understand some of the causes of conflict and how it escalates

•           Be able to use a number of tools used in mediation to resolve conflict

•           Understand the benefits of mediation and how to access it

The event is interactive and will aim to improve participants’ skills in practical conflict management.
