The Big Climate Conversation In Kirkwall

The Scottish Government has been engaging widely across Scotland to discuss action to tackle the global climate emergency. On 19 June, the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced The Big Climate Conversation, a series of engagement activities with people, businesses and the public sector.

Through the public engagement strand of The Big Climate Conversation we hope to reach thousands of people and communities to hear about their concerns, priorities and ambitions. We want to understand what changes Scottish people are willing to make, and what they want Government to do to tackle the global climate emergency.

The Big Climate Conversation event in Orkney will be held at the St. Magnus Centre in Kirkwall on 14 August from 17:00 – 19:00.

You can access information about The Big Climate Conversation on thier website as well as specific event details on Eventbrite.
