Businesses that are offering special shopping times for vulnerable people and some front-line staff

Co-op - If you come into the store between 8–9am Monday to Saturday, and 10– 11am on Sundays, our colleagues will be prioritising and caring for vulnerable customers.

Tescos – We want to help everyone through these uncertain times, especially those who need extra help. So from today, all our stores (except Express stores) will be prioritising the elderly and most vulnerable for one hour between 9am and 10am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

From Sunday, NHS workers and Tesco workers will have a special hour to do their shopping at Tesco as a mark of gratitude for their dedication to helping the public during the coronavirus pandemic.

Workers can come to the Kirkwall store from 9am and do their shopping before the checkouts open at 10am. The special hour will run every Sunday for the foreseeable future.

A form of ID is required whether it a colleague badge, club card, office pass or NHS staff card.
