Consultant – Community-led Food Dignity Project

There is an increasing prevalence of food insecurity and poverty in Orkney. In a recent survey by the Scottish Government, one in ten respondents reported experiencing food insecurity. In response, we have facilitated the development of the ‘Orkney Food Dignity Partnership’, which brings together statutory and third sector partners to work towards creating a dignified system of food in Orkney.
We are looking to hire a consultant to lead and deliver the second phase of a community-led project, producing a strategy which outlines the actions stakeholders can take to reduce food insecurity and achieve food dignity in Orkney.
