Coronavirus – Impact on Third Sector Services
19 March 2020
These are uncertain times and we are aware of the potential impact for your organisation of complying with ever changing guidance. Therefore, we have been working with the TSI network and Scottish Government and, this week, met with the Chair and Chief Executive of NHS Orkney and OIC colleagues to discuss with them the important role of the third sector in supporting our communities during the current crisis. We also have begun to explore with all sectors how we can work together, within current constraints, to mitigate the impact on the most vulnerable.
To help us in this work it would be useful to have a clear idea of the risks you may be facing, how you hope to mitigate them, if that is possible, and your concerns for your organisation, staff, volunteers and service users during what appears to be a prolonged period of uncertainty.
I would be grateful if you could take a few minutes (there are only 6 questions) to complete the survey monkey questionnaire at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LZGR3K3
by Wednesday 25th March.
Your responses will help us to identify the support that we can offer and also enable us to share the information, which will be aggregated, with our statutory partners to discuss with them ways to alleviate the pressure on important third sector services.
If you have any questions about the questionnaire please let me know.
