We have a number of rooms available for hire by the Hour, as well as the Town Hall.

Community Councils provide an effective, strong voice within each community area offering sound, local advice on a range of community issues.

We are a thriving Baptist Church affiliated with the Baptist Union of Scotland.

With an outdoor facility for all year round playing, we offer bowling facilities for all age groups and hold various competitions. Tuition can also be arranged.

We offer a one hour swimming session for any disabled person and there carer on a Saturday evening.

Swimming sessions for the disabled, no age restrictions. You may need to bring your carer if you need extra help in the pool or getting ready. Please contact us for further details and requirements.

Our group meets on the first Thursday of the month to enjoy the love of flowers and arranging. We are part of SAFAS Scottish association of flower arrangement societies.

Kirkwall Grammar School is a secondary school for school years S1-S6.

Kirkwall Kayak Club provides year round tuition and paddling opportunities for juniors and adults. On the sea around Orkney in the summer and in the swimming pool during the winter months.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution's Kirkwall lifeboat "Margaret Foster" is an all weather Servern class lifeboat crewed by volunteers from the Kirkwall area.

We organise the weekly Kirkwall parkrun, starting from the Peedie Sea at 9:30am every Saturday morning.
