The object of the group is to promote the benefit of all elderly people in Sanday which is now, or hereafter may be deemed, by law to be charitable by :- I) Co-ordinating volunteers to give practical help and emotional support to elderly people. 2) Bringing together representatives of statutory and voluntary organisations and individuals who have a personal or professional interest in the welfare of the elderly. 3) Involving elderly people in matters which concern them. 4) Making representations on behalf of elderly people. 5) Collating and disseminating information for, from and on behalf of elderly people. 6) Initiating, promoting and enabling appropriate services and resources to be established and made available as widely as possible.
