Soma’s Light SCIO was established to better support young people’s mental health in Orkney. Our aim is to raise awareness and change stigma attached to self-harm and suicide.
Through our events, participants can discuss mental health and learn about local and national opportunities that can help them.
We also fundraise for projects delivering mental health, self-harm and suicide awareness raising programs and activities, including youth projects.
Our work is carried out alongside the other similar minded charities, local organisations who can help to reduce the high level of suicide rate in our community.
