The purpose of the St Andrew’s Primary School Parent Council is to support the school in providing the best environment possible for learning. This is achieved by fundraising to buy all the ‘little extras’ that the pupils need to thrive. Currently, we are providing funding for new library books, chosen by the pupils themselves, sourcing a new trim trail after the completion of the school extension, buying new ipads, and have funded a new quiet room called ‘The Beach’ where pupils who need some time out can go.
We have run Christmas fairs and are planning a Spring fair and open day which will see community engagement from the emergency services.
We are campaigning for better traffic management and the school and the local area. We are also the link between the wider parent forum and the school.
