The Ypeople Orkney Young Persons' Supported Accommodation Service (YPSAS) provides supported accommodation services for homeless young people aged 16-25 in Orkney. This Care Inspectorate registered service is based at two premises, one at Glaitness Farmhouse in Kirkwall and the other at John Street in Stromness. The service's aim is to provide a safe and secure environment to assist young people to acquire a range of independent living skills in their transition from homelessness into permanent tenancies. The service is funded by Orkney Islands Council and all referrals to the YPSAS are made through the OIC Homelessness Section.
