Youthworks Mentoring has been created to help young people to develop the skills they need to enter long-term employment. Youthworks Mentoring supports young people aged 16-25 on short-term (2 years or less) government employment or training programmes in Orkney. The young people are given twelve weeks of group support in peer mentoring circles, before then being mentored 1:1 for a period of up to eight months. This project has been awarded funding over 4 years from the Queen’s Youth Fund (via Comic Relief).
