  • Service Excellence: We understand the needs of our clients, candidates and employees. We will deliver to your expectations with respect at all times.
  • Local: We understand the Orkney community and economy.

Policy Templates

Many organisations produce very detailed documents containing a vast amount of information which is often irrelevant to their organisation. There are a number of rules, regulations and laws that govern workers, employers and the entire employment and retention process. Organisations must ensure that there are HR Policies in place to cover each of them.

Whether you choose to produce a staff handbook or a number of different policies and procedures, we can offer up to date templates on a wide range of important employment issues at a cost effective price and help you to decide which are relevant for your organisation.

Training & Development

Our training courses are designed to provide organisations with a good understanding of basic employment law and demonstrate a logical approach to solving employment problems so they can be identified and addressed at an early stage and so avoid protracted and costly procedures.

For your convenience, we are able to offer our training courses at your premises. Alternatively, we can offer a fully equipped training room at our offices in Bridge Street.

The courses we currently offer are:

  • Discipline and Grievance
  • Getting it right from the start
  • Support and Supervision

Recruitment Support Service

We appreciate that effective recruitment is crucial for most organisations to run efficiently but in a busy environment it can be difficult to find the time to carry out all the tasks required to ensure that the best possible candidate is appointed. We can do these for you, discussing and agreeing what is best for your organisation. For example, temporary or permanent, part time or full time and roles at all levels within your organisation.

We will promote your organisation and inform others of your employment opportunities through our own networks. If required, we can provide you with terms and conditions and employment contracts for all types of employee roles. We will provide a professional service which provides exactly what you need and saves you time and money, allowing you to focus your energy on other projects.

Examples of what we can do:

  • Draft your advert, Job Description and Person Specification
  • Put together your application pack
  • Act as a point of contact for any vacancy queries
  • Complete short listing packs
  • Setting up the interview process including a range of selection techniques
  • Carry out reference and advice on disclosure checks
  • Correspondence with successful and unsuccessful candidates
