New user-friendly and multilingual info sheets for EU citizens in Scotland

SHARE

The support systems in place for those settling in Scotland can be a challenge to navigate. To mitigate this, Citizens Rights Project have developed a series of factsheets in different languages to help EU citizens access their rights in Scotland.

These info sheets explain, in simple terms, several essential rights for EU migrants and how they can be accessed. Funding has allowed Citizens Rights Project to create factsheets on the following:

  • Universal Credit
  • Housing
  • Pensions
  • Social Security Rights
  • Access to Benefits
  • Maternity Rights
  • The Right to Work

With the exception of the factsheets on Maternity Rights, Pensions and the Right to Work, they have been translated into, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Bulgarian, Spanish, Romanian, Lithuanian and Polish. Citizens Rights Project aim to translate the rest and include more languages if they secure funding.

These factsheets have been developed to promote awareness among EU citizens as to which rights, they are entitled to and how to access them, with the assistance of funding from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), the Scottish Government, People’s Postcode Lottery, and the Italian Comites For Scotland & Northern Ireland.

You can access the factsheets here or contact info@citizensrightsproject.org if you would like printed copies.
