Healthcare Improvement Scotland is recruiting to a voluntary position, known as Public Partner, to help us in our work, specifically with the National Cancer Medicines Advisory Group (NCMAG).
NCMAG Council Role
We are looking for people with sound judgement and the ability to weigh up complex evidence to reach an objective and impartial conclusion, as members of a council which provides advice on access to cancer medicines. NCMAG Public partners are non-clinical full voting members of the NCMAG Council and are asked to attend quarterly NCMAG Council meetings in March, June, September and December. The meetings last 2 to 3 hours and take place on Thursday mornings.
The role requires significant preparation time to read meeting papers. Most meetings are held virtually using MS Teams.
You must live in Scotland to be a Public Partner. While the role of Public Partner is voluntary, expenses will be paid, and training will be provided.
