We're seeking a District Treasurer to look after the finances for our garden openings in Caithness, Sutherland, Orkney & Shetland.

This role involves making sure that funds raised are paid to garden owner chosen charities and to Head Office. Treasurers enter information about openings into our database which contributes to our national reporting. While not essential, Treasurers may also join in with volunteering to support garden open days.

Experience required

While a background in finance is not required, applicants should be numerate and IT literate, including use of spreadsheets. You will be trained in using our database and there is support from our Head Office team whenever required.

Travel expenses

Small expenses are given for items like postage, printer cartridges, stationery if used.

Training details

Training and ongoing support will be given by SGS Head Office team.

Frequency & commitment

It depends on how many garden open days there are in a particular district and whether you choose to visit garden openings. On average, it's 2 hours per week during the garden opening season (if you choose not to attend garden openings).
