Marc Brew Company (MBC) is a disabled and queer led, inclusive contemporary dance company. We collaborate with diverse artists to create powerful performances and inspire participation.

Since its inception, the company has blazed a trail of high-quality work, bringing together exceptional artists with and without disabilities to create powerful and engaging performances for audiences of all ages, reaching over 30,000 people across the world.

The Board of Directors are responsible for establishing and maintaining the values and aims of the organisation, and, with the Artistic Director and Executive Producer, for developing long-term strategies and planning. Board Members should be engaged and passionate about Marc Brew Company’s work and be committed to the future development of inclusive dance in Scotland and internationally.

We are looking for Trustees who:
Are strategic and creative thinkers
Bring sound judgement to decision making at Board level
Can offer specific expertise and knowledge in relevant fields
Are not afraid to speak their mind in a respectful way
Have the ability to advocate for the organisation
Can commit to the time required
Understand and accept the legal duties and responsibilities of the role.

MBC is particularly interested in recruiting trustees with experience and expertise in the following areas (although this does not exclude potential candidates with other skills):
Financial management
Fundraising and Development
Advocacy
Digital knowledge
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Human Resources / Fair Work
Environmental issues / Climate Crisis
Charitable / voluntary work

The Board meets four times per year online currently in February, April, July and November, which includes both the AGM and an annual Board Away day.

Directors’ positions are voluntary, but out of pocket travel and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed.
