Would you like the chance to get involved with some great local events?

Kirkwall BID are looking for Events Support Volunteers to support with the onsite delivery of the their Events programme, helping them to set up, carry out and take down the activities. Volunteers can get involved in anything from the marquee set up to giving away goodies during the event and helping to put everything away. The events are varied and lively and attract lots of different people.

What could a volunteer gain from the experience:
- Being part of a friendly team offering exciting and varied events.
- Experience in events.
- Developing communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience required

Someone with a can do attitude and an interest in developing great local events.

Travel expenses

Expenses won't be covered but lunch and refreshments can be provided as required.

Training details

Before the first events volunteers will meet with the events coordinator and be briefed about duties for the event. They will then meet for set up of the event and always have someone on hand to ask questions to.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment

Volunteers would ideally commit to at least 5 of the events.

Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity. Find out more
