We are looking for a Social Media Volunteer to promote the football club across it's social media platforms. Helping to increase the club's visibility, create contact to engage with sponsors and supporters, and provide match day updates.
What could a volunteer gain from the experience:
Being part of a team and putting something back into the community. If you are keen on football then that would be an additional benefit as you will really enjoy being an integral part of the club.
Experience required
- A positive attitude;
- Good social media skills;
- Good standard of English.
Travel details
The volunteer can carry out the role from home, but would be welcomed at matches in Orkney or in the north of Scotland (travel to away games is optional).
Training details
Other committee members will be able to help with creating content.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Frequency & commitment
On average one or two hours per week for sponsor/ player posts. There will be 12 home games during the season and each match day will require 2 hours of time. There are also 12 away games but travel to these games will be optional.
Our season lasts from August until March/ April each year. Posts can be made at flexible times during the week. Match days are on a Saturday.
Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity. Find out more
