Blue Light Minds is seeking a Trustee with a professional background in mental health, psychology, trauma-informed practice, or supporting individuals who have experienced trauma to join our Board of Trustees.
As a Trustee, you'll help provide strategic leadership and governance to our charity while overseeing our Clinical Strategic Pillar within our new 2026–2030 Strategy.
This pillar focuses on ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-focused psychological support to emergency service workers.
We're looking for someone with experience in areas such as:
- Clinical Psychology
- Counselling Psychology
- Psychological Trauma
- Trauma-Informed Practice
- Psychotherapy or Counselling
- Mental Health Services
- EMDR or Trauma-Focused CBT (desirable)
- Clinical governance or service development (desirable)
What you'll do
- Attend Board of Trustee meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of Blue Light Minds.
- Provide oversight and guidance for our Clinical Strategic Pillar.
- Support the continued development of our trauma-focused therapy service.
- Help ensure our clinical work remains safe, effective, evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
What we're offering
- Remote role (Scotland-based preferred)
- Approximately 2–6 hours per month
