Volunteer Mentor (remote)

Our non-profit organisation creates pathways between learning and securing a technology-based career. We are deliberate in supporting people from under-represented and low-socio-economic communities. Join us and help us to support unemployed, aspiring Technology Professionals and help someone to reach their potential.

We have opportunities for Volunteer Mentors to connect with an unemployed, aspiring technology professional. Our Mentoring Programme runs for one-hour per week, for six weeks. Each Volunteer Mentor is connected with one job-seeker, to guide them through to clarity on their career plan, to support with professionals skills and to provide employability context.

Training and support for the Volunteer Mentors is available and we'll provide LinkedIn recommendations based on your volunteering activities. It's a great way to build leadership skills and experience, in a rewarding environment.

We create pathways between learning and technology careers for young people, female returners, mid-career re-skillers, people with disabilities, refugees and anyone else looking to launch their career in tech. We appreciate the support of existing industry professionals to support them in their pathway.

Experience required

We are looking for anyone that has had an office-based job for two years or more. We want you to share your experiences of navigating the job market, interviews, entering into a professional workplace and building a career.

We support with coaching and mentoring skills. We provide a structured plan for the six-week sessions.
