ASIST is a 2-day interactive workshop which provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to recognise those who are at risk of suicide and to offer a suicide intervention.
Attendees learn how to assess risk, engage in open conversations, and develop safety plans to support individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. By emphasising a collaborative and compassionate approach, ASIST equips participants with the tools needed to provide immediate assistance, and guide individuals towards appropriate professional help.
Anyone can participate in ASIST training, and it is particularly helpful for people who support or care, whether in a professional or personal capacity, for individuals who may be at risk.
The course will run 9am to 4.00/4.30pm on both days.
