A one day face to face training session for Child Protection Awareness, for the Specific Workforce. Focusing upon increasing staff awareness and confidence in being able to recognise, respond, record and report any Child Protection issues which they encounter throughout the course of their day to day work.
The Specific Workforce training (previously Child Protection Level 2) is designed for staff who will be working on a regular basis with children, young people and families as part of their job. These staff will require a PVG check in order to undertake their roles. The new Scottish Government workforce level definitions can be found in the Child protection learning and development 2024: national framework on the Scottish Government website.
The session will be facilitated by Kate Rubenach from Orkney Social Services and Math Thomas from Orkney Public Protection Committee.
