Join the Orkney Local Employability Partnership (LEP) for an introductory neurodiversity awareness session designed to increase understanding, build confidence and support more inclusive workplace practices. This session will explore common neurotypes, common experiences, and practical ways to build neuroinclusive environments.
Participants will gain a greater understanding of how to support neurodivergent colleagues, patients, service users and clients, helping to create workplaces and services where everyone can thrive.
Topics will include:
- Understanding neurodiversity and its relevance in workplace and service settings
- Common neurotypes
- Neurodiversity terminology and language
- Practical strategies to foster neuroinclusive workplaces and improve experiences for clients, patients and the wider community
- Opportunity for questions and discussion
This session is open to all employees and no prior knowledge is required.
