Social Prescribing Day is an annual celebration of the people, organisations and communities who connect people to activities, groups and support that improve health and wellbeing.
Every year since 2019, link workers, medical professionals, academics and students take part in events to share ideas and highlight how social prescribing can change lives.
Displays from the Community Link Practitioner Service, Improving the Cancer Journey and Species on the Edge will be in the foyer at the Balfour Hospital. The teams will also be on hand to talk about what social prescribing looks like in Orkney and there will be taster sessions from Orkney Dance and Fitness and Move Orkney.
