NHS Orkney and OIC are proud to bring this poignant film to Orkney on World Suicide Prevention Day. The screening will be followed by a Q&A panel session chaired by Stephen Mulhearn, the film's director.
In this fictional account, a young women consumed by guilt and grief following the tragic loss of her best friend to suicide hikes Scotland’s West Highland Way. On her journey she finds the courage to speak out against the everyday prejudices she encounters, and about her deeply personal struggles with self-harm.
The film highlights the toll mental health crisis is taking on young adults and is helping to open up conversations about mental health, self-harm and suicide across educational settings and workplaces across Scotland.
