Through this fund The Robertson Trust supports projects that address a specific systemic racism issue, or create the infrastructure needed to sustain impactful anti-racist movements and build a liberated and equitable future.
Key Criteria
Community groups, charities and CICs led by Black people and People of Colour (BPoC) with an asset lock in Scotland (with at least 50% representation across staff, leadership and board), with an income of £200,000 or less can apply.
The Robertson Trust offers:
- £10,000 to progress your idea through an early development stage.
- Followed by £10,000–£40,000 per year for up to three years.
They are looking for projects that aim for long-term change by addressing root causes, rather than responding to symptoms. This might include:
- holding decision-makers to account
- running public campaigns
- building solidarity across groups or movements
- media or reporting
- creating a community space that can support organising
