The Ayre Offshore Wind Farm offers small donations of up to £500 to support community groups based in Orkney and Caithness
Key Criteria
The fund is in its third year and they are looking to support projects that focus on:
1. Environmental, coastal and recreation activites such as:
- Volunteer beach cleans (gear, skips, hi-vis vests etc)
- Path repairs
- Nature conservation
- Habitat resortation
- Improving access to and recreation in our coasts and countryside
2. Youth projects focusing on skills and practical learning that might include:
- STEM initiatives
- Learning practical skills
- Developing outdoor and environmental skills
- Community and social impact projects
There is no firm closing date for applications but there is a litmited budget which is expected to be allocated by 30 November 2026 at the lastest.
