The foundation continues Henry Moore's legacy by supporting sculpture across historical, modern and contemporary registers and seeking to fund research that expands the appreciation of sculpture. It supports the growth and development of sculpture through its grants programme.
Key Criteria
Non-profit organisations can apply for grants that to support the following:
- New projects and commissions - If your exhibition or commission project aims to encourage new thinking about sculpture or sculpture history, or contributes to public awareness and appreciation of sculpture, you apply for up to £20,000.
- Acquisitions and collections - A maximum grant of £20,000 is available to acquire new sculptural works for collections, or to conserve sculpture in existing collections. Cataloguing and display costs are also considered.
- Conferences, Lectures and Publications - Grants of up to £5,000 are available to publish a new book or journal, or to stage a conference or other event related to sculpture.
- Research and development - A maximum grant £20,000 is available to support extended research projects requiring funding for more than one year, e.g. a permanent collection catalogue.
