Innovation Fund | Voluntary Action Orkney

The Innovation Fund supports ideas that are new and/or experimental solutions in the field of marine conservation. This may be aimed at:

addressing root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK
preventing/reducing negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments/species
adding to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and ways to overcome them

They may award one or two large grants of around £10k or several smaller ones depending on the applications.

Key Criteria

Applications for innovative approaches to all kinds of marine conservation challenges including Research, Direct Action, Specific Protection, and Education/Community Engagement are welcomed. They will be judged against the following criteria:

Degree of innovation and creativity
Potential for impact on coastal and marine environment and/or specific
Value for money
Deliverability and sustainability

Sea-Changers welcomes applications from a wide range of UK based organisations including:

companies, including CICs
charities and trusts
