The Grocers' Charity is the charitable arm of the Grocers' Company. As a grant-awarding body, they invest in and support a broad range of small and medium-sized UK-registered charities. They provide one-off grants of up to £5,000 to UK registered charities with an income of less than £500,000. 

 

Key Criteria

The support programmes in the following areas: 

  • Relief of hardship - reducing he disadvantages that people experience due to their circumstances or a lack of financial means. 
  • Elderly - helping older people to live with dignity and participate fully in their communities. 
  • Disability and inclusion - empowering marginalised and excluded disabled people and promoting social inclusion.
  • Health - promoting good health and well-being, enabling people to live fulfilling lives and achieve their life goals. 
  • Military - helping military veterans transition and adjust to civilian life. 
  • The Arts - fostering well-being and promote creativity, self-expression and social understanding through ideas, dialogue and performance. 
  • Heritage - helping bring history to life and give people a sense of identity, place, and connection to the past.
  • Environment and conservation - promote a healthier, more sustainable environment and reduce emissions and waste. 
  • Children and Young People (aged up to 25) - helping young people to overcome the challenges and barriers they experience.
