The Magdalen Hospital Trust offers small one-off grants of £500 - £2,000, to UK-based charities and Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations (SCIOs) working with vulnerable children and young adults, especially those at risk of sexual and other forms of exploitation.
Key Criteria
Founded with the proceeds from the sale of the original Magdalen Hospital, the trust offers grants to promote the welfare of young people, under the age of 25 years, affected by:
- social deprivation
- abuse
- mental and physical disablity
- inadequate housing
- lack of education or training
- unemployment and broken families
The trust prefers to fund project costs rather than core costs.
Projects can include:
- training for work and personal development
- clubs and play schemes
- safeguarding education
- mental health support and counselling
- emergency care
