The Foundation provides grants to help organisations and clubs involved in on water elements of the sport of rowing. Most of their grants are awarded to UK rowing clubs but they also support any club or organisation involved in “on water rowing-type” activities.

Key Criteria

Clubs, schools and organisations can apply for an equipment grant to encourage participation in rowing by the young or disabled through the provision of equipment, such as boats, sculls, oars and essential safety equipment.

Applications should be for a specific purpose, not as a contribution to general funds. Coaching, revenue or any commitment requiring long term support are rarely approved.

The maximum grant awardws is £4,000 in any five year period. This limit applies as a total across both the equipment grants and refurbishment grants.
