Young Women in Mind 2026-2028 is a collaborative funding programme set up by the Pilgrim Trust, the Prudence Trust and the Julia Rausing Trust to support charities providing gender‑specific therapeutic mental health support for girls and young women aged 14–25 in the UK. It offers grants of £200,000 to £500,000.

Key Criteria

The programme will support charities to grow, strengthen or adapt existing therapeutic mental health services.  The aim is to ensure that more young women can access support that meets their needs effectively – particularly where mental health needs are already present and risk becoming entrenched without timely and effective help.

Applicants must:

  • be a UK registered charity operating for at least three years
  • already be delivering at least one therapeutic mental health service for a minimum of three years, for example CBT, other talking therapies, or arts or creative-based therapies. In addition to therapeutic services, eligible charities should also be offering other services that support mental health, such as group sessions, youth work, family support, and/or information and advice, as part of a holistic offer. Services should primarily be delivered from a physical space (e.g. face to face rather than digital)
  • work with girls and young women aged 14–25. Organisations do not need to work exclusively with girls and young women, or with this full age range to apply. Organisations may also be working with a wider age range, but we will not fund work with young people outside this age range.
  • have an annual income of £350,000 or more.

Applicants must fall under one of the organisation types below:

  • Mental health charity with clearly stated youth and mental health mission. Children and young people are a core beneficiary group, and ideally should be the charity’s main focus. Annual income of £750,000 or more
  • Women and girls' charity that is led by and for women and girls with a clearly stated mental health mission. Beneficiaries include young women and girls under 18.
