Voluntary Action Orkney (VAO) is looking to capture the views of local volunteer-involving groups and organisations on creating a new Volunteer Managers’ Forum.
It would offer those who as part of their role manage, coordinate, recruit or support volunteers, a regular opportunity to:
- connect with and learn from others doing similar roles
- discuss challenges, issues arising, and potential solutions
- share best practice, ideas, information and resources
- collaborate on joint projects and events
- keep up to date with local and national volunteering news and initiatives
The forum would be open to anyone with responsibility for volunteers whether they themselves are a volunteer or a paid member of staff.
This online survey is designed to measure demand, capture ideas and gather views on practical considerations such as how often it should meet. The results will be used inform plans to develop the forum.
The survey will close at 5pm on Monday 23 November 2026.
