The new National Islands Plan was published in February 2026. It responds to feedback provided by island communities directly to the Scottish Government via the consultation process, engagements sessions and the Scottish Islands Federation.
The Scottish Government is keen to engage directly with island communities to raise awareness and outline the next steps for implementation of the plan. A poster has been developed which can be downloaded and printed.
