From local food banks and youth clubs to community hubs and rescue teams, this award celebrates voluntary groups across the UK who devote their time to improving the lives of others in their local community.
The King's Award for Voluntary Service is an opportunity for the public to recognise a voluntary group that has made a real impact in their local area.
To nominate a group or organisation, you should
- be a member of the public with a good knowledge of the group’s work (such as a beneficiary or long-term supporter)
- be able to supply two separate letters of support from two additional people who know the group well
And not:
- be a volunteer, employee or trustee of the group, or in any way involved with the running of the organisation
Nominations are open until the 1 December 2026.
