Membership of the PVG scheme is now a legal requirement for individuals carrying out a regulated role in Scotland. A 3 month grace period was introduced from 1 April to 30 June, to allow anyone already in post time to join the scheme.
We recently shared guidance on defining whether a role should be regulated or not along with easy to follow checklists created by Volunteer Scotland. They have been designed to help groups and organisations work out whether the roles they have are/should be regulated. These resources can be found in an earlier news article.
