CONNECT

The Connect Project works with young people aged between 15-21, who are unsure of what steps to take next, or are not ready to move on to employment or further training. Project staff work with the young people to develop a personal and flexible programme that meets learning needs and builds the skills and confidence to move on to their chosen area.

When you come to The Connect Project you may take part in a wide range of activities designed to help improve your employability skills, independent living, numeracy and literacy, citizenship and social & communication skills.

Young people have the opportunity to get involved with the SALTIRE Awards  through volunteering experiences in the community. There are also other recognised qualifications that can be achieved while on the programme.

Staff work closely with partner agencies such as Skills Development Scotland, Orkney College and Historic Scotland to make sure young people can access opportunities and get the best outcome during their time at the project.
