The Kirkwall City Pipe Band (KCPB) is a community band from Kirkwall, Orkney, founded in 1919 to commemorate the end of World War I. It has grown into a thriving group of about 70 pipers and drummers, ranging in age from teens to their 70s. The KCPB performs at local events, concerts, and international festivals, while also raising funds for its upkeep. The band has received the King's Award for Voluntary Service and is known for its strong community ties.
