The OTFA is a non-profit making, voluntary organisation which is run by anglers for anglers and is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of game fishing throughout the Orkney Isles.

The work of the Association includes:

• The operation of a hatchery which, using local wild stock, provides for many of the County’s less productive waters.
• The provision of loch-side sites with access and boat launching facilities on the main trout fishing lochs. Most of these sites also provide shelter, car parking and toilet facilities.
• Maintaining an environmental watching brief over all the trout fishing lochs, sea trout beaches and trout spawning burns in the County. Supporting all efforts that benefit our sport and opposing all measures which are a direct threat.

Membership is available to local and visiting anglers – details of which can be found on the OTFA website.
