Every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person.

The hall provides services for the community. The badminton, craft, senior citizen and youth clubs as well as the W.I, brownies and guides are held in the hall.

We are a short-mat indoor bowling club that meets once a week on a Wednesday at 7.30pm from October to the end of March. Tea and biscuits are provided, and the cost is £3.00 per session.

Firth Community Association run the community centre. It offers function rooms including the hall and catering for local charities, clubs and organisations.

The Orcadian Story Trust seeks to preserve and promote traditional Orkney Islands and world folklore and tales through storytelling events.

Orkney Arts Society is a registered Scottish charity. It is a membership body entirely run by a committee of volunteers.

Orkney Dance & Fitness Ltd provides a variety of Dance and Fitness activities to all ages in the West Mainland and online.

We meet to play bowls at The Pickaquoy Centre from October � March.

Orkney Traditional Dance Association hold weekly traditional dancing evenings to live music in Kirkwall plus an annual Ceilidh Weekend in early April.

Organise the Dounby Show and West Mainland Ploughing Match. Other organisations can also hire the showpark to hold events/competitions.

The Papay Community Association organises a range of social events and services on Papa Westray primarily for residents, but also popular with our visitors.

The Papay Co-op is a community-owned organisation providing key services on Papa Westray, notably the community shop, the island hostel and minibus.

Stromness Community Development Trust (SCDT) was incorporated on 20th July 2006 as a company limited by guarantee.

We are a community pipe band offering free tuition for the Highland Bagpipes and Marching drums. We welcome all members of the community from the young to the old.

The Society organises the annual West Mainland Flower, Produce and Industrial Show.
