We are an independent museum, run by a board of volunteer trustees, and we are a Scottish Incorporated Charitable Organisation.
Our purpose is to promote natural science, to preserve local natural and maritime history. We offer an enjoyable educational and informative experience to both the Orkney community and visitors to the islands alike.
